Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the Saskey Pulse app and web platform collect, why, how it is stored, and your choices. Saskey Pulse is a workforce/HR platform used by employers ("your company"). Your company is the controller of its employee data; Saskey Innovations processes it on their behalf.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — your name, work email, and the password you set, used to sign in.
- Employee record — details your employer adds (employee code, designation, branch, contact number, joining date, etc.).
- Face data (biometric) — when you choose to enrol, the app captures your face and stores a numeric face template plus a review photo, so your identity can be verified at attendance. Enrolment requires your explicit in-app consent and manager approval.
- Location — at check-in the app records your device GPS location to verify you are at an approved work site (geofencing).
- Camera — used to capture your face for enrolment and attendance, and photos for onboarding/claims. The camera is used only when you take an action that needs it.
- Device & push token — a push-notification token and basic device information to deliver notifications.
- Usage records — attendance punches, leave, benefit and onboarding entries you create.
2. How we use it
- Verify identity and record attendance (face + location).
- Provide HR features: leave, onboarding, benefits, reimbursements, school-fee claims and recruitment.
- Send you notifications (e.g. approvals) by email and push.
- Secure the service and keep each company's data isolated.
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.
2A. Face data (biometric) — collection, use, sharing, retention and deletion
What we collect. Face data is collected only if you choose to enrol. At enrolment the app captures a photograph of your face. From that photograph our own server computes a face template — a numeric mathematical vector (a list of numbers) that represents facial features. We store (a) that numeric face template and (b) one still enrolment photograph, which is shown to your manager or HR solely to approve the enrolment.
Attendance images are not stored. When you check in, the app captures an image and sends it over an encrypted connection to our server, which converts it to a numeric template in memory, compares it with your enrolled template, and then discards the image immediately. Check-in images are never written to storage. Only the numeric similarity score, time and location of the attendance record are retained.
How it is used. Face data is used for one purpose only: to verify that the person marking attendance is the enrolled employee. It is never used for advertising, marketing, profiling, tracking, analytics, or any purpose other than workplace attendance verification, and it is never sold.
Sharing. Face data is not shared with, or sold to, any third party. Face recognition is performed on our own servers using self-hosted software; no face data is sent to any external face-recognition service. Face data is stored only within our own service infrastructure, operated on our behalf by our cloud hosting and database providers under contract (as processors, with no right to use the data), and it is accessible to your employer's authorised HR/manager users solely to approve enrolment and review attendance.
Where it is stored. Face templates and enrolment photographs are stored in our access-controlled database and private file storage, transmitted only over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), and isolated per company by row-level security.
Retention and deletion. Face data is retained only while your enrolment is active. It is deleted when you withdraw consent, when your enrolment is removed by you or your employer, when you leave the organisation, or when your company's account is closed. If you re-enrol, the previous template is deactivated and removed. You may request deletion at any time via your HR/manager or by emailing info@saskey.in, and we will delete the face template and enrolment photograph.
3. How it is stored & protected
Data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure and transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Access is protected by authentication and row-level security so each company can only access its own data. Face templates are stored as numeric representations, not shared with third parties.
4. Sharing
We share data only with service providers that operate the platform (for example, cloud hosting and database, and the push-notification delivery service), strictly to provide the service, and with your employer who administers your account. We may disclose information if required by law.
5. Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active with your company, and as needed to provide the service or meet legal obligations. Face templates are retained while you are enrolled and are removed when you withdraw consent, are un-enrolled, or your company account is closed.
6. Your choices & rights
- Consent — face enrolment is optional and requires your consent.
- Withdraw consent / delete face data — ask your HR/manager to remove your face enrolment, or contact us using the details below.
- Access / correction — request a copy or correction of your data through your employer or us.
- Permissions — you can revoke camera or location access in your device settings (some features won't work without them).
7. Children
Saskey Pulse is a workplace app intended for people aged 18 and over and is not directed at children.
8. Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected here with a new date.
